HEYYYYY GUYS!!!! I know its been FOREVER since I posted anything on StyleMavRic, but today I'm back and trying to get back into the swing of things. Since putting blogging on hold I've been busy with my 2nd love and that's doing makeup. I have been extremely blessed to have been able to use my artistry on some of the most beautiful women in SC/NC area.
I often get asked when I'm out and about what type of foundation I'm wearing and people are often surprise when I mention that's its actually a drugstore brand. So I decided to post my Top 5 drugstore foundations for you guys. Hopefully this post helps some of you who are looking for a great foundation, but don't want to break the bank.
1. My favorite by far is the Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation. This foundation is THE BOMB..lol. The lasting power is amazing. Per the Revlon website it has the ability to last up to 24 hrs, but I don't think there is anyone out there wearing foundation on there skin that long. This is a medium to full coverage foundation. The foundation dries to a matte finish and is non transferable. This will definitely give you that flawless application that we all love. Revlon ColorStay has up to 20 shades so you will definitely find your perfect match.
2. The Black Radiance liquid foundation is definitely my next favorite. This is a full coverage foundation that dries to a matte finish. Its oil free and provides little to no transfer at all. This foundation does not include SPF which comes in handy when taking photos (no white cast in pictures). The Black Radiance line was created for ethnic skin tones and comes in a variety of shade options.
3. Black Opal Foundation Stick is by far my favorite cream stick foundation. This foundation has a SPF of 15 and provides a full coverage application. I have oily skin and this foundation is not too oily girl friendly but if set with a setting powder its amazing. This foundation evens out skin tone and covers every imperfection that you may want to conceal. I prefer to blend this out with a damp sponge vs. a foundation brush it just provides a more seamless and smooth application.
4. Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream is amaze-balls..lol! BB creams are different from foundations in that they don't offer a lot of coverage but are great for those days when you don't want a lot of foundation on or looking for just a light coverage. The bb cream was 2% salicylic acid which is great for the treatment of acne. It helps to clear acne, minimizes pores, reduces redness, oil free, and adjust to your skin tone. I love wearing this during those day where it was just too hot to put on foundation...so if you're not a foundation girl but would like a little bit of coverage..be sure to check this bb cream out.
5. The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is my least favorite foundation. This foundation has a SPF of 18 and is light to medium coverage. This foundation is super liquidity so you have to be careful when pouring it out. I only wear this foundation when I want a dewy finish which is not that often. The foundation can be very oily/greasy so a setting powder is definitely necessary.
So that wraps up my Top 5 Drugstore Foundations, I hope you guys enjoyed it . I will be posting my Top 5 High End Foundations so be on the look out for that post later this week. Until next time I hope you guys have a AWESOME day!!!
