HAPPY HUMP DAY GUYS!!! I'm back again to bring you guys my 5 favorite high end foundations. These are foundations that are not found in the drugstore, but are found in your local department stores (Sephora/Belk/Macy's) so they are a little more expensive than the drugstore brands. So lets get started...I hope you guys enjoy.
1. Kat Von D Lock-It-Tattoo Foundation- This is my #1 holy grail foundation. Any spot or blemish that you're looking to cover on your face this baby here gets the job done. I love the bottle its so fancy. The bottle does come with a pump and there is a stopper that's included to keep the foundation from spilling out. It can also be used to cover tattoos. It provides full coverage and can last up to 24 hrs. It dries to a matte finish and has little to no transfer. The Kat Von D foundation provides a absolute FLAWLESS finish. The lock-it-tattoo foundation comes in 19 shades. I would suggest to have a Sephora beauty consultant match you before you purchase, the color shades can be a little deceiving. This foundation can be found at your local Sephora for $39. If you don't want to spend the $39 get a sample and try it before you buy it...you won't be disappointed.
2. Mary Kay Time-Wise Foundation-This little baby right here is the BOMB.COM. I was a fan of the Mary Kay loose powder but this foundation its amazing. It provides a beautiful medium to full coverage. It gives a flawless matte finish. The foundation is infused with vitamin e that helps the skin to look firmer, healthier, and younger. It also helps to minimize the size of your pores. This foundation comes in 23 shade ranges so you're sure to find your perfect match. Be sure to hit up your local Mary Kay representative to get your hands on this gem. The Mary Kay Time-Wise Foundation is $22.
3. Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation-This foundation was one of the very first high end foundations that I purchased. I immediately fell in love with how light weight this foundation was and how it made my skin feel...it looks and feels as if you have absolute nothing on your skin. This foundation provides a demi-matte finish and also has buildable coverage. Whether you want light coverage or medium coverage you can achieve that with this foundation. The Naked Skin Foundation comes in 18 different shades and the bottle does have a pump. The Naked Skin Foundation can be purchased at Sephora or the Urban Decay website for $39.
4. MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation- I found myself wearing this foundation a lot during the summer. Its very light weight and provides light to medium coverage. It kind of reminded me of a bb cream vs a foundation because how light weight it felt on my skin. It was the perfect foundation if I wanted to put something on my face while I was out running errands. This foundation provides a dewy finish vs a matte, but I was still able to set it with powder so I didn't look so shiny. This foundation comes in 13 shades and can be found at MAC for $27.
5. MAC Studio Fix Fluid-Last but not least is the infamous MAC Studio Fix Fluid...I have a love hate relationship with this foundation. I love it because it provides excellent coverage, goes on amazing and I hate it because it breaks me out. Studio Fix Fluid provides medium coverage but is buildable and can provide a full coverage finish. Its a dream to blend and it also helps to minimize the appearance of pores and imperfections. This foundation also has a SPF of 15 and comes in up to 35 color shades. This foundation does not come with a pump, which sucks but you can purchase the pump separately from your local MAC store. I would advise get a sample from MAC and see how your skin reacts before you purchase the entire bottle. This product can be found at your local MAC for $27.
I hope this post was helpful if you're on the hunt for a highend foundation. If you have any questions or recommendations on any other foundations I should try just shoot me a email at stylemavric@gmail.com and let me know. Talk to you guys in my next post.
